Content Creator with camera making original content not AI content

Original Content Wins on Youtube!

It’s a win for great content, right there on YouTube! It announced a policy update effective July 15, 2025, emphasising that only “original and authentic” content will be eligible for monetisation under the YouTube Partner Program.

The update clarifies that “mass-produced” or “repetitious” content, often associated with low-effort AI-generated videos, will not qualify for ad revenue. While AI tools can still be used, creators must add significant human input, such as original commentary or transformative editing, to remain eligible. The goal is to curb low-quality, automated content and promote authentic, human-driven creativity.

Let’s hope other platforms follow suit.
